Turkish Companies Shouldn’t Give Up on Becoming a World Brand
Managing Director of Brand Finance Turkey, Muhterem İlgüner, stated that the research was done in accordance with 2018 data, and because of the financial fluctuations and the widening of difference in exchange rates, the revenues were affected negatively, which resulted in rather lower brand valuation. According to İlgüner, Turkish brands, especially banking, telecommunications and food retailers, should continue their efforts and try to do business using international currencies. This way they will be less affected by exchange rates and protect their brand value.
İlgüner emphasized the importance of not giving up on becoming a world brand, and that companies should continue the efforts. The extra efforts shown by these companies is crucial for both the company and their country.
